Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what the Gemini AI Photo Prompt Chrome extension ("the extension", "we") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we do not collect your name, email, browsing history, chats or images, and we never sell data.
What we collect
- A random install ID. Created when you install the extension, so our server can tell installs apart. It is not linked to your name, email or Google account.
- A device fingerprint hash. A one-way SHA-256 hash of general browser and device characteristics (platform, languages, number of processor cores, memory size, time zone, screen size, and how your graphics hardware draws a test image). Only the hash leaves your browser; the characteristics themselves cannot be recovered from it. It is used to prevent abuse of free usage limits.
- Prompt activity. Which prompts you copy or use, and which you add to favorites, with the time. This powers your favorites, the "Most popular" sort and our usage statistics.
What we do not collect
- The pages you visit, your ChatGPT or Gemini conversations, or anything you type.
- Your photos or generated images.
- Your name, email address, or payment details.
On chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com the extension shows its button and, when you press USE THIS PROMPT, puts the chosen prompt into the message box. It does not read or send the page's content. On other websites it runs only after you click its toolbar icon, and only on that tab.
Permissions
- storage — keeps your install ID, settings and the button position in your browser.
- clipboardWrite — copies a prompt when you press Copy or USE THIS PROMPT.
- activeTab and scripting — open the prompt library on the tab where you clicked the toolbar icon.
- sidePanel — opens the library in Chrome's side panel on pages where it cannot be shown inside the page (such as the new-tab page).
How we use and share data
We use the data above only to run the extension: to show the prompt library, keep your favorites, count how popular prompts are, and prevent abuse. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, except with the hosting provider that runs our server and if required by law.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on our server.
Keeping and deleting data
Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored in your browser. Records on our server are kept while they are needed to run the service. Because they are not linked to your identity, we cannot look them up by name; to have them deleted, contact us from the browser where the extension is installed and we will help you find and remove them.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change what we collect — for example, if we add accounts or subscriptions — we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
